It's Thursday, and I've just about recovered from the weekend now! What a challenge it was for me... cooking four different types of tarts (strawberry & patisserie cream, banoffee, crème de marrons & pear, mini tarte tatin) and two types of éclair (chocolate, and almond) in just one day... putting many of the components together on the morning of the stall to ensure it was fresh!
Such a friendly and welcoming little community! And free tea for the stall-holders... a dream...
Here are the banoffee pies, my parents' particular favourite. I got out some napkins I bought in France (which read "Petits Plats Maison") and my checkered picnic basket, plus a wooden wine-crate that my brother got for my birthday. I think it looked rather sweet!

It was pretty successful... I covered my costs and made a little money before we had to clear away & pack up at 12.30, despite the fact that the market was quieter than usual due to the glorious weather & lack of residents staying at home for the weekend. Which meant that I slightly overestimated the number of cakes I needed to make. But then, having lots of cakes left over was the best bit really.... :)
